The things people ask before they start

Where the bets are placed, what happens to your logins, and what you need to run it.

Where do my bets actually get placed?

Locally, from your own machine, IP and bookmaker sessions. The DegenToPro brain prices opportunities centrally and sends your device a signed, time-limited instruction; BetPilot does final checks and places it. Instructions that arrive stale are dropped and never executed.

Is my API key / are my bookmaker logins safe?

Your API key only pairs devices to your account and can be rotated or revoked instantly. Bookmaker credentials are stored encrypted centrally and delivered only to your authorised device over TLS, only for your own accounts. The app never holds the master decryption key, and logs never contain passwords, tokens or cookies.

Can I control it from my phone?

Yes. The web dashboard is fully responsive, so the control centre opens in any mobile browser. Check open positions, balances, CLV and P&L, and arm or disarm accounts on the go. The desktop app keeps placing bets in the background regardless; the dashboard is how you steer it from anywhere.

Do I need to leave it running? Can I run several devices?

Yes, leave it running. It reconnects automatically after drops or restarts and only acts on fresh opportunities. You can run multiple devices where your plan allows; manage and revoke them from the dashboard.

How do updates work, do I get patches automatically?

Two ways. Pricing, edge and bet-selection logic lives on the server, so improvements reach every device instantly with no download or restart. Updates to the app itself (bookmaker adapters, placement code) ship as a new build. The app checks for updates on launch and applies them, so you stay current just by reopening it.

What do I need to run it?

Windows 10/11 (64-bit) — macOS and Linux builds aren’t available yet. 4 GB RAM and about 1 GB of disk, a stable internet connection left running, and a DegenToPro account with automation access plus your BetPilot key.

An account won’t log in

Check the username and password on the account in Automation → Accounts. BetPilot stops retrying after repeated failures on purpose — repeated bad attempts can lock a bookmaker account — so fix the details, then turn the account back on.
