How we judged
We are the makers of one of the products discussed, which we state up front. The way to use this page is not to trust our conclusion but to take the scorecard and apply it yourself — including to us.
Six properties, in order of how much they actually matter:
- Execution model. Local executor or hosted bot? Whose machine, IP and session place the bet?
- Australian coverage. Working adapters for the corporates you actually hold, not a global count.
- Strategy source. Pre-built and priced, bring-your-own, or both.
- Reporting. Per-bet EV and closing-line value, or a balance and a promise.
- Risk controls. Stake caps, minimum edge, per-account arming, dry-run.
- Credential handling. Encryption, device-scoped delivery, instant revocation.
A note on competitor details. Automated betting products change their pricing, coverage and feature set often, and most publish very little detail publicly. Everything we state about DegenToPro and BetPilot below is verifiable in our own product. Where a rival product is concerned we have deliberately stuck to the questions you should ask rather than putting words in their mouth — confirm current specifics with the vendor before you hand over money or logins.

The hosted-service category
Several Australian products take the hosted approach: you supply credentials, the vendor’s infrastructure places bets on your accounts, and you receive results. The category’s genuine strength is convenience — nothing to install, nothing to leave running. If that is your binding constraint, it is a real option. Score it on the other five properties before you commit, especially credential handling and per-bet reporting, and remember that a shared placement footprint correlates your account risk with strangers’.
The build-your-own option
Worth mentioning honestly: if you can write code, you can build this. Bookmaker APIs and browser automation are not exotic, and people do run home-grown bots successfully.
What you are signing up for is a maintenance obligation, not a weekend project. Bookmakers change their sites, sessions break, adapters rot, and you will spend more time keeping placement working than on the strategy that was supposed to be the point. Plus you still need a pricing engine, which is the genuinely hard part.
Sensible if you have a real edge, real skills and enjoy the work. Not a shortcut.
What to avoid entirely
- Anything guaranteeing returns. Disqualifying on its own.
- Anonymous operators. If you cannot find out who is behind it, do not give it your logins.
- Telegram-only bots. No audit trail, no controls, no accountability.
- Products requiring accounts in other names. Walk away.
- “Bot” that is actually a tipping service. If it sends you picks and you place them, it is alerts. Fine — but priced as automation it is not.
- Countdown-timer sales pressure. Not how you should be recruited into handing over bookmaker credentials.
